Jimmy D. Pham is an immigration attorney specializing in removal defense, high-stakes bond release hearings, asylum cases, cancellation of removal hearings, adjustment of status, naturalizations and appeals to the USCIS, Board of Immigration Appeals, Fifth Circuit of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Pham’s cases have involved high-profile clients prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office and local District Attorney’s Offices who are facing removal and deportation proceedings. Mr. Pham has been successful in obtaining bond and parole releases for a majority of his clients detained in maximum security federal detention facilities across the nation and has successfully defended many clients facing deportation for the most serious of crimes categorized as “Aggravated Felonies” under the Immigration and Nationality Act “INA.” Mr. Pham is also active in lobbying for more humane federal detention conditions and the efficiency and expediency of the USCIS adjudication process.
Jimmy was appointed as Chair of the City of Westminster’s Traffic Commission from 2023 – 2025. He is also an a Ex-Officio Central Committee member of the Democratic Party of Orange County “DPOC” after running for California State Senate, District 36 in the 2025 Special Election and California State Assembly, District 70 in the November 2024 General Election, garnering 45.3% of the general votes. From 2019 – 2021, Jimmy served as a Community Services & Recreation Commissioner for the City of Westminster. During law school, Jimmy externed for the Honorable Judge Alexander H. Williams of the Los Angeles Superior Court and interned for the Federal Aviation Administration’s Office of Chief Counsel. He holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Western State College of Law in Orange County, California where he was a member of the Law Review and a Merit Scholarship recipient. Jimmy also earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Irvine. Mr. Pham earned the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Award before the age of 18 and enjoys traveling and biking outdoors.
Attorney Sung Woo Choi has extensive experience in business transactions, cross-border business disputes and business counseling for startup companies, domestic companies, and multinational companies. Attorney Choi assists Korean companies with their operations in the United States and other international markets. He also advises foreign artists and entertainers with work permits and obtaining legal immigration status in the United States. In addition to his business transactions practice, Mr. Choi’s experience as an in-house counsel at a prestigious security firm has equipped him with a wide range of specialized knowledge and experience. Mr. Choi offers diverse and comprehensive legal expertise along with high ethical and moral values to his client’s cases. Mr. Choi is licensed to practice in both State and Federal courts and represents clients in both State court and Federal court litigation. Mr. Choi holds a Juris Doctorate Degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelors of Science Degree from Guilford College in North Carolina.
David Yoshida has spent 15 years turning business disputes, trust & estate battles, and real estate conflicts into victories, earning loyalty from clients for his straightforward and strategic style.
He honed his litigation skills at prestigious law firms, most recently at the century-old Lagerlof LLP where he managed their toughest cases and largest litigation clients. He began his career at one of California’s premier complex litigation firms, Bartko Pavia (formerly Bartko Zankel), where he worked on bet-the-company litigation.
Hoan Nguyen’s extensive legal background has exposed him to several different areas of law—including immigration law, traffic defense, personal injury, and many others. However, due to his intense desire to help innocent accident victims and their families heal, Nguyen now focuses on solely personal injury cases.
Nguyen’s unique legal solutions to the challenges his clients face have helped him secure many favorable settlements on his clients’ behalf. Nguyen attributes this success to the custom approach he brings to each case. He takes the time to build a relationship of trust and respect with his clients that, when combined with his invaluable legal knowledge and insight, leads to proven results.

Veronica has worked in the immigration field for over 18+years. She obtained her paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego. Veronica has a wide variety of immigration knowledge. She specializes in Removal Proceedings/Defense, Adjustment of Status, Naturalization/Citizenship, Visa Extensions, DACA Renewals, Parole in Place, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence (I-751), Fiancée Visas, Green Card applications/renewals, U-Visas, and I-130 petitions.
Veronica is fluent in Spanish. She was born and raised in North San Diego County. She takes pride in providing the help and guidance clients need.
In her personal life, Veronica enjoys spending time with her family and watching her children play soccer. She loves to travel, go camping, and go to Disneyland.
Anakaren Y. Rodriguez is a Legal Assistant at The JD Law Group, where she implements and practices her love for the law. Anakaren grew up and resides in the Inland Empire.
Where she got the privilege to become a first generation Latinx UCR alumni. Where she graduated Cum Laude and received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish (Linguistics) and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy.
Anakaren plans to pursue her passion for the law and the immigration field by attending law school in the near future.
